These homemade costumes are prime examples of what you can accomplish by doing your Halloween costume shopping at Wal-Mart.

Those are some stylish shorts Patrick has on. I don't even want to know what prop they used for the nose on SpongeBob SquarePants. It doesn't look natural.

Here is video that was shot at the Edwardian Ball. An annual Victorian / goth event that has recently turned into a great faire for the steampunk costuming trend.

This particular costumer decided to create the steampunk version of goldfish platform shoes. Since the goldfish are probably going to die in a matter of hours, he could have been a little nice and put a plant or some sort of castle in the helmet.

Thanks to Laura for sending in her homemade ostrich jockey costume. She constructed it using paper mache, an inner tube pool toy, feathers, paint, a slinky, and a few pairs of tights.

You can never have too many ostrich jockeys around. Someone has to keep those creepy things at bay.

Wow, these Big Lebowski costumes are really put together well, man.

There are a lot of fun things to do to celebrate The Dude, one of the most memorable characters to hit the big screen with The Big Lebowski. A few of them include: getting drunk on White Russians, shopping for a new rug, or going bowling.

If you attend a Lebowski Fest event you can probably get all of these accomplished, and then some. I am sure you would be welcome with open arms. Walter Sobchak fans remember, no rolling on Shabbos.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem!!!


I remember watching this Jim Henson created rock band group from The Muppet Show. These muppets had more stage presence than Justin Bieber on a good hair day.

Let's hope Dr. Teeth, Janice, Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Zoot, Animal, and Lips make a comeback when the Jason Segel movie The Muppets opens in 2011.
